Hope Care achieves UKCA certification for HCAlert, strengthening its position as a reference in Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM)
Hope Care, a leading provider of digital health solutions, is proud to announce that it has obtained UKCA certification for its HCAlert system. This significant milestone follows the MDR Class IIb certification achieved in 2023, reinforcing the company’s ongoing commitment to quality, safety, and innovation in remote patient monitoring.
The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) mark is the conformity assessment required for the commercialization of medical devices in England, Scotland, and Wales. Introduced after Brexit, this certification ensures that HCAlert meets the highest standards of safety and efficacy, enabling its legal entry into one of the most demanding and advanced digital health markets. (Note: UKCA certification does not apply to Northern Ireland, where the UKNI marking combined with CE marking is required.)
Why is this certification significant?
- Rigorous UKCA assessment: Confirms that HCAlert complies with the highest safety and efficacy standards.
- Recognition of complexity: Validates HCAlert’s advanced capabilities in managing chronic and multi-complex conditions.
- Commitment to quality: Demonstrates the strength of Hope Care’s robust quality management system.
- Strategic access to the UK market: Enables the commercialization of HCAlert in the United Kingdom, opening opportunities in a key market.
- Validation of innovation: Reinforces HCAlert’s transformative impact on improving chronic care management.
“The UKCA certification reflects our team’s dedication and the innovative potential of HCAlert in transforming remote healthcare,” said José Paulo Carvalho, CEO of Hope Care. “We are excited to expand our presence in the United Kingdom and to improve patients’ quality of life through advanced technological solutions.”
